After the Wedding
When we first met Angelica and Mark, it was three weeks before their wedding, not enough time to shoot an engagement session for them. But we got together recently for a “Day after” session, at the Montage in Laguna Beach. It was a dreary, overcast afternoon. The threatening rain never materialized but it was down right chilly at times. Angelica’s radiant smile, never faded. She looked like a princess. Mark looked like the luckiest guy in the world. This fun, truly happy couple are one of the reasons I love wedding photography. Being able to be a part of life affirming moments, and sharing in the joy, never gets old. Thank you Angelica and Mark, it was a pleasure, again.
These photos were lit with 1 or 2 Blackbelt Lighting Speed light kits.

The Day After, A Year Later
These are pulled out of the archives, but they never made it on the website for whatever reason. And they are certainly hot enough! When I shot Matt and Vanessa’s wedding, we started out at their house for some getting ready photos. As we were leaving, we walked thru the garage and I saw Matts custom chopper in the garage. A few weeks later I mentioned to Vanessa that it would be fun to do a day after photo shoot with the bike and her wedding dress. She thought it would be a great idea. It took us a year to get together for the shoot, but totally worth the wait. I was recently meeting with a bride and groom that were referred by Matt and Vanessa and we were talking about these photos. Matt, who is a fireman, got a lot of shit for these pictures from the guys at his station. As the story was told to me, one of Matt’s friends at the station saw the images on Vanessa’s Facebook. He snatched it up and photoshoped Matt so he didnt look quite as cool, and pasted the images all over the fire house. Classic!
Trash the Dress
What are you going to do with your wedding dress after its all said and done? Send it to the cleaners, box it up and put it in the attic, right? Well if you are like many brides, you spent the days leading up to your wedding looking at wedding websites and bridal magazines. And they were full of models in beautiful wedding dresses in photo shoots at locations that made you envious. So why not put your dress on one more time and have a styled shoot? You are going to enjoy those images in 20 years much more than that box taking up space in your closet. Jessica thought so, and we did a fun trash the dress shoot in Laguna Beach. Check out her images, and then come on over to chrisdiset.com and check out her sister-in-law Sharons TTD photos we shot with a couple of elephants.
